I guess everyone's writing about the war, but I'm not going to let that stop me from doing so also...
I just don't understand why people do not realize that every great civilization does not last forever and that we may now be seeing the strongest signs of the decline. Yet few are planning and adjusting for the change. That includes me, but I'm not playing this video-game war. I want no part of it and am not amused. I've written a couple of emails to the president, and I didn't ezpect much, but I had to feel like I did something to speak with a voice of reason.
Unless Iraq uses a nuke or chem or bio weapons, we know how this is going to go. We've been through this once before with Desert storm...
But we have done seems to be a misuse of power and we have lost respect where we had it before and hatred where we had dislike.
Iraq did not attack us or Kuwait. We look like we are after the oil and the land for bases in the middle East so we don't have to go crawling to the Saudies or Turkey. This is going to make those countries very nervious, and it should. Who is the next "threat" that we may decide to take out?
I guess we'll see what happens.... Good luck to us.
