I have a friend over at Blog Search Engine who has a short survey about comparing Yellow Page ads to Search Ads. It really is short and if you have a minute or two maybe you could stop by before 10/22/03 and take the survey...? Thanks!

You've GOT to be kidding me...!!

I thought we had this thing settled, but is sounds like Verisign needs a good kick in the crotch to get the message...

TOPIC: Verisign to Resume SiteFinder

Verisign sees no harm in SiteFinder and
plans to reimplement the program within 30 to 60
days. The company cites discussions with 35
executives as testimony to SiteFinder's benign
existence.

It's interesting to note that most ISPs that have
blocked SiteFinder are outside the U.S.

The most simple way to block the service is to change
your hosts file...

or implement a DNS fix...

For ISPs running BIND, there is a patch...
http://www.imperialviolet.org/dnsfix.html

However, there are known issues with the patch, such
as blocking .name email...

Finally, anyone interested in voicing their
disapproval of Verisign's SiteFinder, a petition has
been established...
