I Never Heard of Google Watch Before Today...

I thought I should follow up my post with a little more about  www.google-watch.org/. I just visited the site and I was quite impressed with the site aside from the ugly home page. Inside the site you will find a lot of easy to read information and some pretty good graphics/cartoons.

 

If this was a satire site, I would highly recommend it, and if in fact you view the site as such, it is entertaining. However when taken as a serious site, it just depressing. So much talent and creativity spent on whining, accusations with no substantiation, paranoia, and sour grapes.

 

In looking through the site I was unable to discern exactly what brought on this tirade against Google. To their credit, I did not see any paid advertising on the site, which is the ONLY redeeming feature of the site. It does help in my mind that much of the content is quite dated, so I suspect that after expending so much effort and not getting much press or return, then have largely gone back to whatever work they normally do for a living.
