Thank you for your message. I very much appreciate the helpful tone of your email. We don't need your help, thank you very much, but I'd like to return the favor and provide some feedback and advice to you.
 
1) Since you are using an automated system to generate and send these messages, you don't realize you have contacted another SEO firm, somewhat like yourself. Frankly, when I read your message I felt a little insulted, but then I felt pity. Not reviewing the sites of those you contact makes you look lazy at best. At worst, you look like yet another email spammer. Being reported for spam could get your hosting account shut down and hurt your reputation, so I would stop doing that at once. If we receive another message like this at another of our sites, we will report it.
 
2) Links are an important factor, but we consider content to be the most important thing. A site with few links and lots of great content will always do much, much better that a site with poor content and lots and lots of links. I think that makes sense, don't you? And since linking is abused so much today, I would never base any strategy just on a method that may not work or may not work as well in the future.
 
3) The old concept of getting high rankings for just a few keywords is no longer seen as providing the best ROI except for those with nearly unlimited budgets to spend. Learn about optimizing for the "long tail of search" as they call it, and you will be equipped to provide much more value for your clients. Long tail optimization does not need monthly updates to keep it working, for example. Stop feeding the clients the idea that they have to see their site listed for this keyword and that keyword. Rather help them to understand that while rankings are nice, it's the increase of quality traffic overall that is the most important thing. Traffic and visitor conversion should equal greater sales.
 
4) I don't understand why SEO companies such as yours, who have been doing this for a while, don't realize that if the services you provide work, you would be doing them for yourself to get business. Since you have to send out SPAM like this, it sends a clear message that what you do DOES NOT WORK.
