Please be advised that the above noted domain name has now become available for registration. Consequently the possibility of a conflicting domain registration may occur.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE UNITED STATES LEGAL CODE
TITLE 15, Sec 1125. False descriptions, and dilution of Trademarks and the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP)

In the event of a registration of the above noted domain by a third party, the UDRP may be applied under the following conditions.

Evidence of Registration and Use in Bad Faith. - For the purposes of Paragraph 4(a)(iii), the following circumstances, in particular but without limitation, if found by the Panel to be present, shall be evidence of the registration and use of a domain name in bad faith:

(i) circumstances indicating that the domain name registered or acquired the domain name primarily for the purpose of selling, renting, or otherwise transferring the domain name registration to the complainant who is the owner of the trademark or service mark or a competitor of that complainant, for valuable consideration in excess of your documented out-of-pocket costs directly related to the domain name; or

(ii) the domain name has been registered in order to prevent the owner of the trademark or service mark from reflecting the mark in a corresponding domain name, provided that you have engaged in a pattern of such conduct; or

(iii) the domain name has been registered primarily for the purpose of disrupting the business of a competitor; or (iv) by using the domain name, registrant has intentionally attempted to attract, for commercial gain, Internet users to their web site or other on-line location, by creating a likelihood of confusion with the complainant's mark as to the source, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement or your web site or location or of a product or service of a web site or location.

In addition to remedies provided for by the URDP, section 4a (1)(2)(3) & b (1)(2)(3)(4) existing registrants, trademark and service mark owners are provided by DNNP on domain names that are identical with new ccTLD, TLD extensions, or domain names that are confusingly similar to their own.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Note: you may disregard this notice. If you disregard this notice or fail to reply:

(a) The licensing rights of this domain name may be assigned to any other applicant who wishes to register it,

(b) DNNP and or any ICANN accredited registrar will not be liable for loss of domain name license, identical or confusingly similar use of your company's domain name; or interruption of business activity or business losses.

I hope no one falls for emails like this one. I don't know what kind of scam it is, but they don't list a web site and you have to FAX them your information. They also don't tell you HOW MUCH they are going to charge you. Stay away from emails like this. If the domain is really available, just go to your normal registrar and order it. You don't have to use a special company. If the domain is NOT available and you want it, contact someone who knows about domain names and can help you. If you deal direct you will almost for sure pay too much, or worse, get involved in some kind of domain name scam and get taken for a wild ride you may regret...

Yes, i have received exactly the same. I think the strategy is stablish a quite-comfortable communication status, an then ask for credit card info by fax. so this way they are not traceable or reachable in some way.
VERY CAREFUL with this.
i have found your blog googleing the address they provide (848.. etc).

cheers.

Yes, I have received two of these emails too. People should be very careful of this. As far as I am aware, the final decisions on the new domains does not take place until early 2009.

you guys are idiots, their email is legit, they are just letting you know that the .US extension for your domain is now available and if you want to register it then you can.

you should thank them for letting you know instead of making stupid complaints.

OH-MY-GOSH! Your are right! I don't know what I was thinking! Those people are JUST TRYING TO DO ME A FAVOR...!!!

They are so helpful and not thinking of getting anything in return. I am SO SORRY for doubting them and thinking that they just wanted to scam me or trick me into transfering my domain to their high-priced and questionable service.

I feel so bad, so very bad that I am going to dedicate my life to making up every nasty, pissed-off, rant and insult that I have ever posted about them and the other domain scam spammers that send me crap weekly.

Any now that you have shown me the error of my ways about these loving unsolicted offers, I will have to atone for all of my past sins directed to those offering viagra, dick enlongation pills, 3% interest loans, making her moan, software that costs 10% of retail, discount cigarettes, and all those kind offers from so many, many people to share 30% of their dead father's millions. Then just need help getting the money out of their evil homeland can will let me help them invest it.

Thanks so much for insulting all of us. And I am SO glad you didn't post your real name and information because I would have had to delete your moronic post, because you are SO VERY CLUELESS about what spam is and think that it is ok that I'm sure the backlash would have runined your life on the web. I really hate spam but I don't hate those that those that are lacking the simple understanding about what spam is and why it's NEVER a good business model, unless you are a self-centered slimy lowlife. Then it's ok.

Say... you aren't connected with the outfit that SENT that spam are you...? If you are then your post makes perfect (self-serving, greedy, inconsiderate, and spamming) sense. This is awsome! It give me SUCH a good feeling when a spammer/scammer finds out why their sales are down. Thank you for the confirmation!!!

At $75 per year for the registration they're not doing anyone any favors. What they're doing is checking for people who have .com, net, etc. domains and then sending emails making it look like you've got some sort of trouble about ready to happen if you don't take care of this real quick. Unfortunately, lots of people fall for tricks like this. These people are a scam, pure & simple.

maybe this is something I noticed because I used to live in Nevada, but 1 (718) 865-9120 is not a Nevada number. I just typed it into my cell phone and it told me the number was in New York. I don't know about any of you, but if I had a legitimate business in Nevada, I would receive my faxes in Nevada as well.

I know for a FACT the website they contacted me about is registered and has a Domain Lock on it until mid to late 2009 and has had it for nearly two years.

My bad - it is the US extension for a website that I maintain for a friend...hers is .biz though. No wonder so many people get taken for a ride. Good thing we are cautious and research stuff before we get all freaked out.

SPAM still SUCKS and is NOT a good business tool.
