Even though I signed up a while ago for GMail I was beginning to think I was never be "chosen", and while I was not exactly singled out for the blessing, it became a side benefit of having this blog...! Google started offering GMail accounts to Blogger.com blokes like me, so I now have a very good reason to dump the over-priced Hotmail account I have had lo, these many years even before MS got their hands on it. I say over priced becuase the spam is still nasty and the ads they display are even nastier. No, I'm not telling ANYONE about my GMail address. I'm keeping it all to myself and if I get any spam, I'm reporting them to www.spamcop.net for sure.

I think I will just keep this first Gmail account for newsletters. Since I can store so much and do some cool searching things, it may just be a very good information store and research tool...

I did figure out a way to BLOCK HOTMAIL ADS, but I'm not going to tell you how.... not yet anyway. The "secret", which I found on a web site could CRIPPLE much of the advertising on the web, and there is too much advertising that pay for things I like to want to do anything to hurt that. If the flashing banners give you fits then I might be willing to tell you what it is, but you'll need a note from your doctor...
