Post via email / Protect your web site content

I just found where I can post to my blog via email... cool! This will make
it much easier to update the darn thing than going to the blogger site and
using the supplied editor. It works ok, but this should be much quicker and
I'll be more likely to dash off quick posts on SEO, search engine
optimization, search engine marketing, updates about SEOBy.org and general
web marketing things.

By the way, we are starting to develop products and services around web
content theft, protection, detection, and tracking. We had to come up with
some things for ourselves and figured, why not do if for others as well???

Those services will appear on href=http://www.contentguarder.com">www.ContentGuarder.com when they are
ready.

The lost Art of Web Rings

Web rings have been around forever and many people think the have gone the way of the dodo and the blinking text tag, but that is far from the truth. Web rings for hobby sites, health and medical sites, finance, marketing, and just about everything you can think of are still alive and well.

Take for example the Mesothelioma Lung Cancer web ring. This ring was created a short time ago and at first they had no luck in gaining new members in the ring. This is despite the fact that there are thousands of sites on the main subject of malignant mesothelioma lung cancer.

Then sites started joining and has sites joined, the number of links to all the sites has increased much more than you would think. We see web rings as the original link building technology that really works and is easy to maintain. The number of links that a site can get in a short time can be quite amazing. And there is not of the risk that we see with having a "links" page, or an automated links manager program. There are only a few actual links on each site, but all site links lead to other sites that have links and at some point the circle of links is complete.

The interface for web rings is still not very attractive and makes one think of the many personal home pages that we see all the time, but the links for the ring can be at the very bottom of the page, which is where you normally find them, and they still work very well when placed there.

Adding the code for the web ring to all of a sites pages seems to be about twice as effective as just having it on the home page. We think this is because anything that is placed on all of the pages of a site is seen as more important and the links are give more weight that way.

If you have any questions about the mesothelioma lung cancer web ring, link building, linking sites with web rings, or web rings in general please let us know.
